Madelyn O'Farrell is an Associate at Dynamo Ventures. Prior to joining Dynamo, she was a member of the investment team at Flat World Partners where she covered both fund and direct investments across themes such as climate, health, and edtech.
Madelyn’s investing career began during her studies at the University of Utah where she worked with the venture capital group at the Sorenson Impact Center, in addition to several other venture and private equity internships. She has a passion for supporting ambitious entrepreneurs tackling impactful problems, born out of her time studying entrepreneurship in Seoul and working at the Seoul Global Startup Center.
When not at her desk Madelyn can often be found reading at one of Manhattan’s beautiful parks, cooking for friends, or painting at a nearby studio.
I have always been an avid reader and have appreciated books as one of the most enriching aspects of the human experience. Eventually, I would like to get off of the sidelines and write something myself, even if it were never to be published or seen by another set of eyes beyond mine.
My Great Aunt Judy was incredibly ahead of her time, trailblazing her own path to a fulfilling and independent life. From entrepreneurial ventures to years spent helping the families in her community, she has always demonstrated an ambition to better herself and those around her. She consistently models the values and virtues of continuous learning, open-mindedness, and balance. She has set the tone for what I seek to build in my own life by simply being herself.
